The first photograph, really blew my away. I loved it.
Not only is she beautiful and captivating in this image but the color filter in this photograph gives an air of illusion, a softness that makes the photo pretty much perfect.

But then, I get to the rest of the photos.
I'm sorry I am not a fan of these at all. What is up with that white fade? Ugh. It looks terrible!
What a shame, really, because Sarah Bledsoe is such a beautiful girl and the photographs are very well shot. Even the sepia colored filters look great and the styling is right on target, its provocative and light. It's amazing. That fade though, that horrible white fade. I can't get over it. It really ruins the photos for me.

Crazy how one design element can ruin a good thing. What do you think?

One+ is a housing concept by the Swedish company add-a-room that allows users to build their home through prefabricated modules.
The system was designed by Danish architect Lars Frank Nielsen and uses 15m square rooms as building blocks for dwellings. The units are built off site and assembled on location to streamline the process and keep costs down. Users can use one module or combine multiple ones to create their own design. the system uses local Swedish materials and energy efficient windows and doors. Basic units start at around 35,000 USD.

How freaking cool is this?! I would so totally invest in one (or 4) of these somewhere beautiful, like a countryside or beachside. It would be ideal; the perfect getaway home.
Really all you need is just the basics to survive, no? A shower, a bed and a kitchen. The rest you make for yourself.

These rooms are all so cozy, they are just the right size to have my friends over, drink some wine, read some books and play some old records. Man, I wish I could call one of these 'home'. Talk about perfection! So good, I may be daydreaming about these for months. 

Inside The Wave

Okay guys, who's moving with me to the Netherlands? Look at this place! How unique is this?
Aptly named, The Wave In Vejle, is a crazy badass architectural project by Danish company Henning Larsen Architects. The exceptional structure houses 140 apartments with views to the bay, while also creating a unique reflection on the surface of the sea, giving both Vejle and Denmark a breathtaking new landmark.

I would love to have one piggy for each room. The kitchen, the bathroom, my desk, next to my books, aaaah! The possibilities are endless!

Reminiscent Of Cleopatra's Life

Holy shit, look at this fucking beautiful dress! I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it. Simply stunning.
Beautiful geometric patterns and simple, clean cuts are just a few signature styles from up-and-coming fashion designer Holly Fulton. Looking like it came right out of Cleopatra's closet, the dress pictured above is part of Fulton's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, alongside many sharp cuts and crisp patterns that embody her entire fashion line. Fulton has got unbelievable talent and a keen eye for decor and design; her creations are not only a fashion statement, but a magnificent work of art.

If I had this desk, it would always be unbalanced. I would probably finish stacking all the books, level it and place all my things desk top and end up wanting the freaking book that's at the very bottom. Yes, I am difficult like that.
Anyway, gorgeous idea! I can't stop staring at it!

Geometrically Beautiful Stop

Wow, isn't it crazy how one simple design element can completely change the aesthetics of another? Look at this stop sign, just a geometric decorative border was added and now its so whimsical and beautiful! I wish the stop signs in my neighborhood all looked like this, this is definitely the prettiest stop sign around.

I honestly don't even know how I came across Karl Hebert's website, but I have to tell you, I went through the whole thing. I definitely love that Hebert's site is reminiscent of a vintage life.
Hebert, an Austin native currently living and working in Paris, is a graphic designer. His work is very rad, he is very talented in both in illustration and design. He is detail oriented and as I mentioned earlier has a sort of vintage flair. His site is simply beautiful. Take a fiver and check it out.

Yumalum indeed! I need everything in this etsy shop! I could fill a room with their prints. So rad.

Just discovered a great Helen Yentus interview on print magazine. The young designer talks about coming to the U.S. as a child,  her journey towards learning to adjust and her thought process upon taking on new challenges. Most famously known for her eat pray love book cover, the designer has other fantastic works as well. I admire that she doesn't stick to one particular style, her work varies from detail oriented design to very clean and minimal. Yentus is definitely one of the people I admire the most.
