I honestly don't even know how I came across Karl Hebert's website, but I have to tell you, I went through the whole thing. I definitely love that Hebert's site is reminiscent of a vintage life.
Hebert, an Austin native currently living and working in Paris, is a graphic designer. His work is very rad, he is very talented in both in illustration and design. He is detail oriented and as I mentioned earlier has a sort of vintage flair. His site is simply beautiful. Take a fiver and check it out.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that Walter Steiger was now following my work account on twitter! Much to love from the great brand, these were some of my faves on the website right now.
MajoRey

Today's etsy find is girly and flirty but at the same time its oh so glamorous. Exclusive lingerie hand made in Uruguay, MajoRey has a very unique variety of brassieres, thongs, camisoles and panties. I am particularly lusting over the Black Winter Reptile bra pictured above. So, go take a look at the MajoRey shop, there are so many pretty little things, you are bound to find something you will love.

Not gonna lie, I didn't watch the Emmys because I was too busy getting my Sunday night fix on HBO and AMC. My bad.
Today I caught up and I saw a million photos of my favorite people looking drop dead gorgeous so, here are some of my favorites.

I can bet you $100 that someone, at some point in your wonderful life has cut you off in the middle of a cheese filled conversation and asked, "Where did you get that?"
Yeah, you owe me $100.

Well, last night as I perused the internets at crazy hours of the night I came across this fantastic blog by beautiful London native, Karen.
Karen moved to New York and while adjusting to the city, she wondered where all the chic boutiques in the city were located. Where did the cool locals shop? Never mind big department stores and malls, where were the consignment shops and indie designers? So she went on a mission to find the coolest, chicest, hidden treasures in the Big Apple. Her blog is a (mostly) daily photo update of what she wears, where she got it and how she blends it into her everyday wardrobe. Its pretty rad; Karen has great style and her photos are very spiffy. Check it out for yourself, I promise you'll enjoy it!

It's Saturday!

esteban cortazar con exito

Today, let your inner Debbie Harry and Courtney Love come out and play. Today is all about black shades, bed head hair, short short skirts or very very skinny jeans. Its about layers, leather and lace. Its about black heels and badass, rock star attitude. Its about having some motherfucking fun!
Its Saturday, go dance your ass off somewhere! (Even if its at the grocery store!) ;)

Alexander McQueen was a brilliant designer, there is no doubt about that. Only he could create such intricate collections, bold cuts and mesmerizing patterns. McQueen was truly, one of a kind. After his untimely death, I honestly couldn't imagine the design house carrying on without him. Who will take over? Is anyone capable of filling his 12 inch, armadillo heeled shoes? Never!
Well, my ass wrong.
Alexander McQueen's new creative director Sarah Burton—the designer's right hand—came out on top with high honors. The line's Resort 2011 collection is something out of McQueen's head, with a subtle softer, girlier touch. Everything is very detail oriented—the shoes, the beading, accessories and evening gowns—everything is where its supposed to be. Most of the outfits are ready to wear, only a couple were bold runway statements. Of course, not as bold as Alexander himself, but truly keeping his legacy alive. You see the collection and you know its a McQueen. Burton was clearly the best choice to keep the design house and McQueen's spirit alive. Cheers to her.

Just discovered a great Helen Yentus interview on print magazine. The young designer talks about coming to the U.S. as a child,  her journey towards learning to adjust and her thought process upon taking on new challenges. Most famously known for her eat pray love book cover, the designer has other fantastic works as well. I admire that she doesn't stick to one particular style, her work varies from detail oriented design to very clean and minimal. Yentus is definitely one of the people I admire the most.

I am so totally in love with Kermit Tesoro's Holiday 2010 collection. But truth be told, its really those amazing skull heels that make my heart skip a beat. Beautifully intricate and chic, Tesoro's work is very reminiscent of  the oh-so-talented and always favorite Alexander McQueen.
